IICACC is now offering an exclusive 4-hour, cost-free class on how to initially respond to calls involving Internet crimes against children. The class is focused on officers’ initial response to all such calls and includes training on existing statutes defining such crimes and the recommended procedures for initially collecting all items of potential forensic value. It can be requested by any agency and, where possible, it will be conducted in that agency’s local jurisdiction. It is suggested that the hosting agency consider offering the class on a regional level as it can accommodate up to 25 students.
